Jewish Star
The Jewish star was used by the Germans to mark all the Jewish people. The Germans did this so they could see who was a Jew and who wasn't. The stars were mainly used when Jews were in ghettos and were mixed people who weren’t Jews. Once the Jews were all identified they would be singled out and moved away from other people. The stars usually were brighter color so the Jews could be easily identified. Most of the stars said Jew across them. Besides marking the Jews the star was used to make the Jews feel less like people because they had a label on them. It was supposed to dehumanize them. This was one of the first things the Germans did to dehumanize the Jews. This was extremely important because it was just the begging to what terrible things were coming.
